Frequently Asked Questions

Hello there!

I thought it would be a good idea to add a FAQ blog post to answer some of the most popular questions that I get asked. Feel free to read through, especially if you are brand new to Quartz.

Question: Is the studio a shoe-free zone? Why is that?

Answer: Yes! The entire building is a shoe-free zone. Every yoga studio that I have visited from Pennsylvania to Iceland to Portugal to Aruba is indeed shoeless. It helps to keep the space pristine, cuts down on debris, and really helps to keep the studio running smoothly. Our wellness spa is the same way. My hope is that you feel comfortable as soon as you step foot into Quartz to really settle in and be as relaxed as possible. I know that idea of going to a public restroom with no shoes on can be a little daunting but rest assured that I work REALLY hard to keep the space clean. Feel free to leave your shoes in a cubby and make your way into our space.

Question: What should I bring with me for class?

Answer: You are more than welcome to bring your own yoga mat and props. We do have plenty in studio for you to borrow. Lots of mats and lots of props. I recommend bringing a bottle of water as well.

Question: I’m totally new to yoga. Which class is best for me?

Answer: I always recommend starting with Intro to Yoga. I run this once a month, the first Monday at 7:00pm. The best part is, is if you’re new to Quartz, class is just $10. Select that price when you’re checking out. If you cannot make that class or you’d like to come sooner, no worries! Slow Flow on Wednesday evening at 7:15pm, Slow Flow on Saturday morning at 9:30am or Candlelight Restore on Sunday evening at 6:30pm are all great for beginners. Some yogis even choose to stay with these classes for years to come. Our goal is that you feel super comfortable and know that no matter what class you choose, you put your best effort forward and let go of the results.

Question: What should I wear?

Answer: Something that you can move in. You want to be as comfortable as possible. That could range from your comfy pajamas to yoga pants to anything really. We have students that come in jeans. It’s really up to you.

Question: What time should I arrive?

Answer: We do our very best to unlock the studio doors 15 minutes prior to the start of class. That ensures plenty of time to settle into your spot or to fill out a waiver if you’re new to Quartz.

Question: I really don’t love the idea of a public class. I’d like to start with a private class. Is that an option?

Answer: Absolutely! There are many private classes being held throughout the week. Send us an email to discuss what you’re looking for and to pick the day/time that works best for your schedule. Private classes can be one on one or you’re more than welcome to bring someone or many people. Our space can hold about 18 comfortably, so it’s really up to you. Check our “classes” tab to view pricing.

FAQ-Waitlist & Cancelling a Reservation

Hi there!

Here is a quick post on how to cancel yourself out of a class reservation and information about our waitlist. Friendly reminder…you must cancel your reservation within six hours of the class start time or you will lose that class pass. We are very limited on in-studio space at this time. We appreciate you understanding!

Step One:

Go to our website, www.quartzorganics.com. Click the “classes” tab circled below.

Step Two:

Click the “Try class” button pictured below.

Step Three:

Click on any of the buttons, “Sign up” or “Waitlist” as pictured below. That will get to the page to log in to your account.

Step Four:

Log in to your account.

Step Five:

Click the “Your Account” option to find the drop down menu, as circled below.

Step Six:

Click “My Schedule” as circled below.

Step Seven:

Here you will find your class reservations, as pictured below. If you see the word “Cancel” next to your class booking, you will have the pass added back to your account. As long as you use the class purchase within one year from purchase date, you will not lose it. If you see “Late Cancel” next to your class booking, you will forfeit the pass as you are within that six hour cancellation window. By doing this, you open that spot up for someone else to join us. We greatly appreciate it!

Waitlist Reservations:

When making a “Waitlist” reservation for a class, you will be prompted to sign up just like you normally would. You will be prompted to pay for your waitlist spot with a credit/debit card. Your card will be charged for whatever class pass you chose. That holds your spot in line. There are only three waitlist spots available, so it is all very controlled. We are limited to eight students in-studio. The waitlist is constantly moving as students cancel for all sorts of reasons. You will know you made it into class, because you will receive an email letting you know. Check your “junk” folder just to be sure. Sometimes you get notified right away of a cancellation and other times, someone may cancel within 30 minutes of the class start time. We have no control over this. We do love as much notice as possible! As a reminder, we require six hours notice as this buys us some time to fill any empty spots. If your reservation moves off of the waitlist and it’s too last minute for you to make it, no problem at all. Shoot an email to info@quartzorganics.com and we will add the class back to your account. From there, it will pull the next person off of the waitlist.

We hope this clears up any confusion and we look forward to seeing you in studio!

Updated Studio Protocols & Procedures

Updated Studio Protocols & Procedures

Hi there!
Quartz Yoga & Wellness Studio is officially reopen for in studio classes! We wanted to fill you in on what we are doing and what we ask of you.
The safety and peace of mind of everyone that enters our studio is of utmost importance to us. We are grateful for your trust and your support as we navigate the world the best that we know how to.
What we are doing:
*Properly sanitizing our entire space, before and after class. We are using an EPA registered hospital grade disinfectant.
*Limiting in studio classes, allowing more time to clean our space.
*Limiting class size to ten students.
*Limiting workshops to ten attendees.
*No walk-ins. All classes/services will require pre-registration via our website or the Schedulebliss app.
*Most classes will be conducted with fans on to encourage good airflow.
*EPA registered hospital grade disinfecting wipes and hand sanitizer are available in all rooms of the studio.
*We are renting a Halosil fogger machine from a local filtration company. The machine is good for purifying air and surfaces. It kills bacteria and viruses on contact. It also leaves behind a microscopic barrier to prevent bacteria and virus growth on surfaces. The machine will be run before each in-studio class.
*Continuing to offer online classes. At times, our in-studio class will run simultaneously with the Zoom online platform. Zoom attendees will only see the instructor. We realize that Zoom may be the best option for you and we will continue to utilize this platform.
What we ask you to do:
*Temperature checks at home prior to coming into the studio. If you have a temperature of 100°F or higher, please plan to come when your temperature is back to normal.
*Only bring with you what you absolutely need. Water bottle, yoga mat and any props that you prefer to practice with.
*Please sanitize your hands upon entering the studio. We have multiple hand sanitizing bottles throughout our space.
*Please be mindful of others. Staying six feet apart at all times within the studio.
*Per the latest Pennsylvania state guidelines, it is at the discretion of the mask wearer, if you would like to continue to wear a mask.
*Sanitize your mat before and after practice. We have endless amounts of EPA registered hospital grade disinfecting wipes that are at your disposal.
*Please do not come to the studio if you have experienced any cold or flu like symptoms in the last 14 days. Or if you have been in contact with anyone with cold or flu like symptoms in the last 14 days.
*You must cancel or modify your class reservation within six hours of the class start time. If you cancel within that six hour time frame, you will forfeit your class pass or drop in. If you are ill, this does not apply. Send an email to info@quartzorganics.com so we can credit the class back to your account for future use.
We ask that you work together as a community. Always keeping in mind that we are yogi’s and we know how to meet ourselves where we are, with love and kindness. We ask that you do the same with everyone that enters Quartz. We are so grateful to have you here and we want you to know that we will do everything in our power to keep our studio safe and committed to maintaining a loving and peaceful environment. Any questions/concerns please email us at info@quartzorganics.com. We can’t wait to see you!
Be Well,
