About Us

We are a yoga & wellness studio cultivating inner peace, rejuvenation & personal growth

Quartz Yoga & Wellness Studio is rooted in our passion to share and bring an opportunity for wellness to the community that we grew up in.

To have a beautiful and welcoming area in which each person can feel at home to either begin or expand on their yoga practice. A unique space to heal, ground and harmonize.

Through a nurturing space, our studio is providing a supportive atmosphere in order to bring health, happiness and wellness to our local community. While furthering our collective education,  self-study and connecting with people in our area, it became clear that there was a need for a creative home.

Our Story

Our vintage Studio & Wellness Center had it’s earlier roots as a sewing machine and vacuum shop. After the doors closed for that business, the building sat empty for almost two decades.

While searching for the perfect location for quite some time, we were lucky enough to notice a “For Sale by Owner” sign in the window. Fate was on our side and the store became ours.

With a great team, love and determination we were able to restore and reinvigorate the space, keeping most of the original details. During excavation, quartz crystals were unearthed, further solidifying that this was meant to be our home. Radiant heating in the floors and carefully chosen flooring with comfort in mind, makes for a great venue to practice yoga.

It is a special, welcoming place for all.

Jessica Lipari

I have been on a journey with yoga since 2012 and it has benefited my life in countless ways over the years. I strongly believe in the healing power of yoga and meditation. Yoga is available to anyone, you just have to become available to yoga. I am an avid reader, an aspiring writer, and a lifelong animal lover.

Kamna Abraham

Kamna Abraham is thrilled to bring BollyX to Quartz Yoga & Wellness Studio! She and her husband, along with their 1-year-old son and 4-year-old puppy, have been members of the Upper Perk community for over 4 years. Kamna graduated from Penn State in 2010 and has since then taught Bollywood dance to children as young as 3-years-old. She received her certification as a BollyX instructor in March 2017 and has taught at various gyms and studios over the past few years. BollyX combines her love of Bollywood dance with exercise, and she looks forward to dancing with members of the community she lives in!

Kimberle Karabudak

I was introduced to yoga as a college student in 2009 and since I have held sacred yoga’s influence on my life- self-love, empowerment, and especially as support in my work as a speech therapist. Yoga reaffirms to me that a person is always the curator of their life, their thoughts, and their reality. When I’m not on the mat or in the office, I love spending time with my husband and our two cats, indulging in any creative art, and playing video games.

Jenn LaMarre

I have been teaching yoga since 2009. My background as a Massage Therapist and a Reiki Practitioner helps me to connect my students deeper to their mind, body and spirit. My classes combine hard work with deep relaxation. I aim to create a space where students feel grounded, supported, empowered and tapped into their own internal wisdom. My belief is that yoga is for all beings. I trust in yoga’s ability to transform our relationship with life so that we are able to feel more deeply, recognize unhealthy tendencies, learn from discomfort and appreciate every moment.

Ceil Fresco

Since starting the practice of Yoga, at age 15, by watching Indra Devi on PBS, I’ve learned Yoga truly is a personal journey. Now, 47 years later, with many gurus/teachers in my life, this journey has helped me evolve, teaching me that anybody can do yoga and it is an experience of life long lessons. The practice will heal your body, quiet your mind, and open your heart. We can never stop learning about ourselves!

From the Founder

I was first drawn to yoga through a gym yoga class at eighteen years old, as I have always been interested in wellness. From that moment forward, it felt like a natural connection that I needed to explore. And so I did. Not only completing training in yoga, but also Esthetics.

There is great joy for me in visiting different health centers, holistically healing all aspects of my life. Each experience enriching my life in a different way. Yoga and Esthetics became such a part of my journey that I decided that I wanted to share my passion and the best way to do that would be through teaching and earning my Esthetics license. I look forward to my yoga practice as it allows me to heal, ground and harmonize. Outstanding health is possible when you unite mind, body and spirit through breath and movement.
